Cow Palace Expands Out East

Butcher Shop, whose flagship is located in Rocky Point, opens fifth location.

Cow Palace, whose flagship 10,000 square-foot store is located on 25A in Rocky Point, has opened its newest location in Westhampton Beach.

Owner Tino Masotto brings the well-known East End butcher shop to Westhampton as its fifth location. The first Cow Palace was opened by Masotto's father, Jerry in 1976 in Middle Island. The younger Masotto said he started working at the family business when he was 12-years-old and took over when his father retired.

Tino Masotto says he opened the new location knowing that Westhampton Beach is a seasonal community, but he said he figures that people are going out to dinner much less or not at all and instead will purchase meats to cook at home.

Along with the Rocky Point and Westhampton Beach locations, Cow Palace also has stores in Middle Island, Moriches and Patchogue.

I agree Captn' Let's hope they don't blow it and get too big for their britches, and spread themselves tooooo thin !

It's happened before to local businesses who believe their publicity too much !
