After years of success, the Eagles garned a No.5 ranking for 2011 despite losing 10 starters, and after five games they remain winless after dropping the first ever game against crosstown rival Miller Place, 9-4, Tuesday evening and another game to Sayville, 12-4, Friday.

"We’re inexperienced that’s all" coach Mike Bowler said. "We lost 10 starters last year so it’s tough when you clean house. Kids don’t have a lot of playing experience and honestly theyre not as skilled as they should be."
