The Fischer-Hewins VFW Post 6249 and the Town of Brookhaven plan to add a bronze statue of a German Shepard to the 9/11 Memorial at Diamond in the Pines Park in order to honor the animals that played a vital part in the rescue and recovery effort following the attacks.

Attempted Burglary Brings Police Chopper to East Shoreham

No arrests have been made in an attempted burglary near John Street and Miller Avenue in East Shoreham Tuesday. A police chopper patrolled the area for much of the afternoon.
