High Driver in Fatal Hit and Run Gets Sentence
Nicole Shellard was sentenced Wednesday to 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years in prison for fatally striking Kathryn Underdown, 45, in Miller Place in May of 2010. Shellards sentencing was less than the District Attorney's recommended maximum sentencing of 15 years.
Cuzzin's Smoothies and Cafe Closes
The Miller Place smoothie/lunch shop closed down Sunday. The Cuzzin's locations in Mt. Sinai and East Setauket will remain open.
Shoreham Civic Talks Tesla Development
The Shoreham Civic discussed development of the Tesla Lab property in response to reports that a local developer is interested in the property, pending investigation results by the Department of Environmental Conservation.
