Whiz Kid: Meaghan Lane Does it All

Name: Meaghan Lane

School: - 12th Grade

Accomplishment: Lane has been Irish Dancing since she was five years old and has qualified and competed in the Regional Oierachtas, All Ireland Championships, the North American Nationals, and the All Scotland Championships. She has earned medals in local, Regional, National, and All Ireland Championships and has performed on Good Morning America, CNN 360, Shea Stadium, Citifield, and Ellis Island. She will be attending Providence College in Rhode Island considering a major in Liberal Arts and will be a member of the Irish Dance team.

Keys to Awesomeness: When she's not dancing, Lane excels in the classroom and on the field. She is the secretary of the National Honor Society and treasurer of the Foreign Language Honor Society and has made Honor Roll or High Honor Roll every quarter since ninth grade.

She has been on varsity tennis and varsity winter track the past four years and was a captain in 2010 and All League in 2009 for tennis and captain and All League in 2010-11 for track. Lane also played varsity lacrosse the past two years, plays clarinet and also finds time to volunteer for and Hope House Ministries.
