Hallock Landing Beach

sorry hit enter and it popped my statement in above too soon... I'm likely right that all townsRead More along sound need to have remediation plans on board, but that doesn't mean they have the funds to get it done. I would not be surprised if the meatballs running crookhaven missed the mother-load of that Superfund.
Ted Ratter May 10, 2013 at 04:27 pm
Jennifer, if Bonner speaks about the town trying to buy the property next to east of Scotts beachRead More (or scots - spelling?) forget about it. that property is meaningless to issues east of that point. Oh by the way this is not confirmed yet but I hear our new Highway guy is/was the lawyer for the guy who owns that track of land. crookhaven makes strange bedfellows hey?
Jennifer Johnson May 10, 2013 at 02:03 pm
Thank you for responding. Funny I had emailed Jane Bonner and her response was: Please give my oficeRead More a call at 451-6964 so we can discuss the towns remediation plans for the areas you mention below. If you are reading these please call. If her office is flooded with calls about this issue maybe something will be done.
My Mom My Life

That made me smile! My mom passed away when I was a child and not a day has gone by in the past 37Read More years that I don't think about her and wonder who this woman was who gave her children the gift of life but never had the opportunity to see her children grow up. The little that I remember of her warms my heart. I wish all mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers and Godmothers a blessed Mother's Day! :)

Sshhhhhh, Claudia's sleeping.....
Mason Storm April 26, 2013 at 12:34 am
Well Claudia maybe the plan needs to be addressing the "animals". As for my point, youRead More address the police as brats yet if these "animals" woke you up at 2am, you can bet you will be calling the brats to help you. The problem is also you Claudia. You need to embrace the problem instead of always looking at angles. I'm sure you never picked up the phone annoyed. Loosen up tighty.
Claudia Geiger April 25, 2013 at 08:50 am
exactly.. I am sleeping at 2am when the animals come out! Thanks DSmiley

Ps: it also helps disabled girls have more confidence in themselves ..
P Shoshanamarie O'Hare April 14, 2013 at 04:08 pm
That is not true. Pageants open a door for girls/woman to speak out and help out. There are manyRead More different types of pageants to chose from. Not all are about beauty alone. Miss Long Island 1997 Also a Lupus and domestic violence Survivor
Jen Thomas April 13, 2013 at 12:02 am
We should be teaching our daughters to love and respect themselves and pageants do not do that.Read More Feel like a queen? How about a judge or an architect? As the mother of a disabled daughter, I am appalled by this.

I commend you Congressman Bishop for the proposed legislation and I recommend that you continue toRead More push this legislation again and again. It is a shame that our government continues to handout billions of dollars to companies that are making billions on their own and don't need a public subsidy. Most importantly, drilling for oil instead of investing in new forms of energy is a clear example of the backward thinking of these corporate giants who can't see past tomorrow and are only interested in serving their stockholders and not the national interest. The subsidy does not go towards providing for our national defense. The US military stocks the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to cover our national defense needs. The Republicans in Congress are all owned by the oil companies, That is why you can't get your legislation passed. The Republican Party is the party of the business interest in this country and nothing else. Keep pushing this legislation and others like it.
Patchogue Snoop April 27, 2013 at 06:26 am
And now Mr Bishop wants to be exempt from Obamacare, including all the other hacks in Congress thatRead More rammed it down our throats. "Let them eat cake"

If the companies are doing so well, buying back their own stock and paying a dividend, why not justRead More buy the stock and use the profits to offset your fuel price? BOOYAH!

Perfect time for Patch to follow-up on their headline grabbing articles about those charged withRead More animal abuse. How about it PATCH??
Mariane Campbell April 8, 2013 at 12:24 pm
No one should every turn their backs if they see or suspect animal abuse. Animal abuse is one stepRead More away from child abuse or elderly abuse.

I guess I was a month to early- I call SPCA last month to report a case of animal cruelty andRead More nothing seems to have been done about it- my tenants dog is woefully underweight (you can see his ribs) and looks like she hasn't had is nails cut in a year I gave them all the information they asked but when I called back later(twice) I was told that whoever was in charge of the case would get in touch with me(which he never did- leaving a message on my phone with no call back number isn't my idea of getting back to someone) I've still been feeding the poor thing when I can but the tenant is being evicted at the end of this month and I fear he's going to get rid of the dog
