Free Super Bowl Tickets, Free Concert and Roosters

Your guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning! Here’s a look at what’s happening along the north shore on Tuesday.

- Sunny skies today, with a high near 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

- Want a free rooster? What - you want two? Well, we have just the place for you to go.

- Two free Super Bowl tickets are up for grabs today at a blood drive at St Louis de Montfort Church in Sound Beach. Each donor will be entered to win a pair of tickets to the big game this upcoming winter, which is being held at MetLife Stadium – you know, where the Giants and Jets play?

- While we are on the topic of 'free' – because, well, why get off of it – there's a free concert tonight at St. Anthony of Padua. Billy Joel cover band 'Big Shot' will be performing starting at 7 p.m.

- A man who was rumored to have robbed a 7-Eleven on Sunday had committed a crime, according to police, and was in 7-Eleven. But according to police, an officer spotted someone on a bench warrant and the man fled, leading to a helicopter search for him. He was later caught.

- A group of parents from Rocky Point were spotted at Saturday's rally at Comsewogue High School, 'Students Not Scores,' which spoke out against new state testing standards. You can also watch a video of the rally here.

- Did you know that King Road in Rocky Point was recently renamed after war hero Pfc. Frank Celentano, who lost his hand in WWII after he picked up a grenade in a trench he was in with his comrades, and threw it back out? An unveiling of the street sign takes place Saturday at 2 p.m.
