Young girls love fashion. They love Project Runway. They love expressing themselves through what they wear. And they want to be fashion designers. It’s the No. 1 dream job for girls ages 8 to 12, according to The New York Times. This workshop is perfect for them! Twelve lessons will focus on topics such as: How to Think Like a Designer, Create a Fashion Designer Sketchbook, Fabrics and How They Drape, Tools & Patterns, A Look At Patterns From the Past, How to Design Patterns for Fashions for Your Barbie Doll, How to Make Those Patterns Larger To Fit Yourself. We will create clothing you design to wear for yourself! Ages 8-16. This workshop will teach couture hand sewing, and basic machine sewing as well! Don't have a sewing machine yet?
