The calendar says Oct. 1 but Tuesday's warm temps say summer and that had some locals soaking in the sun.
Cedar Beach saw a few visitors, some clad in bathing suits, some casting a line taking advantage of the warmer weather while it lasts.
"I am a beach lover, so a day like today is definitely for me," said Annette Mora of Miller Place who was stretched out on a sun chair. "I can't get enough of this kind of weather. I love it."
Locals who share the sentiment will be happy to know that the rest of the week promises more sun and continued temps in the mid to high 70's, with tomorrow hitting close to 80.
