Brookhaven's "Operation Clean Sweep" Will Launch in Rocky Point
Press conference to be held at Sweets of the Spoon on June 27.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko and Councilwoman Jane Bonner will hold a press conference on June 27 at 11 a.m. in front of Sweets of the Spoon in Rocky Point to launch the second “Operation Clean Sweep."
The initiative by the Town’s Quality of Life Task Force will have Town employees fixing streetlamps, picking up litter, installing new street signs and more in order to help clean up the neighborhood, according to a release.
The first "Operation Clean Sweep" took place in Selden during the week of April 11 and one will take place in each remaining Town Council District in the months ahead.
