The Sound Beach Civic Association will host the on Sept. 22 in the parking lot in Sound Beach from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Local rescue organizations are coming together for this very first annual event which gives attendees the opportunity to meet animals available for adoption, support responsible pet ownership and learn how to care for your pet.
Pet portraits will be done by Art-by-Ann, live music by Connie Rae, kid crafts and DJ music by Phil. There will be giveaways and informational booths set up by Ll Grey-hound Rescue, Last Chance, STAR Foundation, Brookhaven Town Shelter, Save-A-Pet and more. The rain date is set for Sept. 23.
