Thank you, Rich, for spotlighting this. As many of us have heard, local animal rescue organizations as well as the Town shelter are filled to capacity, and we hope that people will support this event and possibly adopt a pet. There will also be a Chinese auction and the proceeds will be divided among the participating rescue groups. We anticipate a fun day--so bring your neighbors, bring your friends, bring your kids! And, of course, save a life--Adopt a pet!

Weather permitting and we're there on Saturday, a table will be set up in front of the Sound beach Post Office where they will be selling the Vanishing Species postage stamp. This stamp will be sold for 55 cents, and the difference in cost is being used to support imperiled wildlife
