Jesse Pallas was a healthy local young boy until March of 2011 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and he and his family's life was turned upside down.
Through this unfortunate situation, Jesse has made many new friends who are going through the same thing. All of the Long Islanders they met in the hospital deal with pain and suffering on a daily basis, but they found happiness in the support of their community.
Jesse and his family are now asking the community to help "give the gift of life" and . The drive starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m.
