Flags of All Colors Fly At Heritage Park

Flags flying high in Mt. Sinai Friday.

Sometimes it takes a little wind to really bring a flag to life. Or, in the case of Heritage Park in Mount Sinai, dozens of flags.

In honor of Flag Day, organizers have hung flags of all colors along the park's parade route, from colonial flags, confederate flags, township and commonwealth banners to military colors.

On Friday, the lot of them flapped in the wind under gray skies.

The exhibit was set up by nonprofit Heritage Trust, which also set up a scavenger hunt along the flag trail that gives visitors info about many of the lesser-recognized flags.

The exhibit is open until 4:30 p.m.
