Get Out: Take a Wine Tour or Catch a Middle School Play

Wine tours, fun for toddlers, a school play, music and a youth council run this weekend.

Break away from those tedious tax forms, see the forsythia bloom and enjoy yourself--and your family--this weekend.

1. WINE TOURS ON THE SOUND

When/Where: East Wind Inn and Spa, 5720 Route 25a, Wading River, Thursday-Monday every week, 11:30 a.m–3:30 p.m.

 Why Go: To enjoy tours of three local wineries. Must have a group of four; limit 14 people per tour, which will last approximately four hours.

2.ROCKY POINT MIDDLE SCHOOL PLAY: ALADDIN Jr.

Where/When: Rocky Point High School, 82 Rocky Point Yaphank Rd, Rocky Point, April 8 at 7 p.m., and April 9 at 1 p.m.

Why Go: To see the Middle School's take on the Aladdin story.

3. WEEKEND PARENT TODDLER WORKSHOP AT NSPL

Where/When: North Shore Public Library 250 Route 25A, Shoreham, April 9, at 10:15 a.m.

Why Go: For a weekend Parent Toddler Workshop to meet the needs of families who cannot attend the weekly program. For children 6-35 months, with a parent/caregiver. Register online or by phone.

4. NITEWORK AND THAT 70S BAND AT NAPPER TANDY'S

Where/When: , 275 Route 25a, Miller Place. Nitework on April 8, That 70s Band on April 9, both nights 10 p.m.

Why Go: To see and hear Nitework kick off the weekend at Napper Tandy's and then catch returning favorites That 70s Band on Saturday.

5. SPRING INTO WELLNESS FAMILY RUN/WALK

Where/When: Shoreham/Wading River High School, 250 Route 25 A, Shoreham, April 9, 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

Why Go: To help raise money for the new playground at the Miller Avenue Elementary School. A 5K run/walk that will begin at the Shoreham-Wading River High School track and a kid’s 1-mile loop will take place on the high school track at 1 p.m., prior to the 5k trail run 1:30 p.m. (All kids in this race will receive a medal). All proceeds go to the playground fund at Miller Avenue School.
