Dogs Rescued From Iran

This week, two dogs rescued from Iran by the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons landed on the East End. The effort came as a result of a push by Iran leaders to make it illegal to own dogs, since they've been declared unclean by religious leaders.

Sara Davison, the executive director of ARF Hamptons, said other than the dogs from the Caribbean, this is the organization's first international rescue.

The female dogs, Named "Lampic" and "Narin," are both in good help, though Lampic has no vision in one eye.

They are in quarantine in the Adoption Center’s Medical Wing and will need full medical exams and time to acclimate before they can be adopted, Davison said.

Commack Woman to Meet Giants QB Manning

Lauren Goldman net week will get to sit with two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, one of 10 winners in Dunkin' Donuts contest for an opportunity to eat breakfast with the New York Giants quarterback.

Goldman was selected as one of thousands who entered Dunkin' Donuts online Facebook page sweepstakes.
