Man on the Street: Your Thoughts on Occupy Wall Street
Local residents give their take on the protest movement from the parking lot of the Kohl's shopping center.
The Occupy Wall Street protest has been in the middle of a media storm for the past month. With news of the movement spreading to Chicago, Rome and Port Jefferson, we went to the parking lot of the shopping center in Rocky Point to ask local residents what they think of the protest.
Anita Shaul spoke about the job market when she said, "I understand the frustration. When I left college there was a job out there for me. For this generation, that's not the case."
Bob Hill didn't have confidence that the protest would accomplish anything.

"Someone should do something, but I don't think much will come from this," he said. "It's too disorganized."
Mark Linza thinks the media's paying too much attention.

"The media's overblowing the whole issue," he said. "If we stopped giving them attention, they'd go away."
Miguel Romero has high hopes for the protest.
"It's very exciting," he said. "To see this kind of turn out and dedication is inspiring from the youth. It could be the start of a revolution, and I hope it is."
