Terryville Class Project Unites Students from Different Schools

Each year, Terryville Elementary teacher Brian St. Pierre guides his fifth-grade class in a yearlong project: Together, they create a movie from scratch, from the brainstorming and script writing process to the shooting and editing. This year, his class produced a 70-minute film called "A+ in Spell Casting" that will premiere on June 18 at Comsewogue High School at 6 p.m. Admission is $2 per person of $5 for a family. Click here to watch the trailer.

Monday’s Cable Outages Frustrate Local Residents
As the rain began to fall on Monday, many residents in the Three Village area reported losing cable television, phone and internet service around 11:30 a.m. The service outages, though, were not the direct result of the weather: A Cablevision spokesperson confirmed to Patch that a car accident in a nearby area took out a utility pole, causing the service outages.

Summer Construction Brings Sidewalks to Townline Road
Hauppuage parents who feared their teens walking to school on busy roadways may be able to breath easier next school year.

Construction crews are preparing to create a continuous sidewalk along the north side of Townline Road, spanning from Lincoln Boulevard  east to Hoffman Lane. Construction is scheduled to start by June 24, announced Legis. John Kennedy, R-Nesconset.
