With a setup that looked like it could have come straight off a movie screen, workers from Valley Restoration, based in Torrington, Conn., recently completed exterior resurfacing at the Caroline Church of Brookhaven. Church officials announced last week that "steeplejacks" scaled the walls of the church to complete "a much needed exterior resurfacing" 75 feet above the ground.

Rocky Point Teen Killed in Early Morning Car Crash

Three teens were passengers in a car driven by Ulices Canessa Villatoro, 19, when Suffolk County police said the driver apparently lost control of the car, striking several trees on the side of road on Lowell Avenue, just south of Atlantic Street in Central Islip, just after midnight.
