Nikola Tesla's Birth Celebrated Around the World
Tuesday marks the 156th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's birth.
It seems as each year passes, the popularity and recognition of Nikola Tesla increases. Tuesday marks the 156th anniversary of Tesla's birth and he is being celebrated across the globe.
An all-day program is set to take place at The Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre in Tesla's home town of Smiljan, Croatia. Tesla, whose famous lab Wardenclyffe sits in Shoreham, will also soon have a comic book in his name entitled The Inventor.
Tesla, born in modern day Croatia on July 10 1856, became a naturalized American citizen at age 35, and died in New York at 86 on January 7, 1943. Tesla managed to collect around 300 patents in his lifetime.
