Over $200 Raised In An Anti-Common Core Campaign

Residents banned together in a campaign designed with their kids safety in mind. Their campaign is asking for a change in the implementation of common core.

An online campaign dedicated to raising money to help students, parents, and teachers from all over Long Island purchase materials, signs, flyers, and more to make sure the word is clear that the implementation of common core is not working.

Currently, the campaign is about $430 short of its goal.

The Page reads:

Our children, our most precious gift, our eternal hope for the future. We gave them life and in turn they bring a smile to our hearts with each tiny breath they take.we would give our own existence for theirs, we protect their dreams, their hopes, and their very essence.

However , now they are in danger. A wicked wind has blown through their worlds , and threatens all we have labored to give them. Our government is using our educational system as a conduit to facilitate a plan so evil it is Orwellian in nature. WELCOME TO COMMON CORE!!!

A one size fits all education that eliminates every concept of traditional learning, the glorious foundation of knowledge that we were fortunate enough to be taught. Common core wants to steal our children's right of choice and from we as parents as well!! Educating ourselves on these atrocities is our greatest weapon, strength to fight this opponent is our greatest challenge.

WE WILL RISE TOGETHER , WE WILL ASCEND FROM THIS FORCED CONFORMITY TO RESTORE OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURES, AND THAT OF THE WORLD AS WELL!

Special Thanks to Mark Ferreris!
