PHOTO: Legis. Anker Awards Youth Council Students for Art Exhibit

Student art displayed in legislator's office.

Legis. Sarah Anker recently visited the North Shore Youth Council school age child care program at the Joseph A. Edgar School in Rocky Point.

She presented the students with certificates for contributing pieces to the art exhibition held at her office. The exhibit started on Feb. 19 and ran through March 26.

“The NSYC art exhibit provides students with a wonderful way to display their artistic talents,” Anker said. “It is an honor to be able to display the talents of our local children. It is my hope that this showcase will serve to inspire these young artists to continue their creative endeavors while providing them with the experience of presenting their artwork to the public.”
