Rocky Point Students Speak With Panel of Veterans
Students ask questions during "Invite a Veteran to School" program.
In anticipation of Veteran's Day, students in Rocky Point recently took part in the annual "Invite a Veteran to School" program in which students got the opportunity to speak to a panel of veterans about various topics.
The veterans answered questions from the student council about why they joined the service, what they took out of it and more. The school’s technology club videotaped the three panel discussions and are hoping to use the footage to create a video montage of the event to share the veterans’ stories during the fifth-grade Veterans Day program in November.
