Two Strays Found In Miller Place, Rocky Point

Locals are trying to find the owners of a Beagle and Yorkie that were found in the area.

It seems dogs have been going missing all over the area these past couple of weeks. As Port Jefferson residents await the return of the beloved Marcy, two other residents have taken to Facebook and Craigslist to announce they have taken in strays and are looking for the owners.

The first dog found is a female tricolor Beagle. According to a Facebook post, the dog was seen walking around Oakland Avenue and surrounding streets of Miller Place. She has yet to be claimed and was currently taken in by Nicole Sujatha Gamar. If you know any information or if this is your dog, let Nicole know by posting in the comment section below or on the Facebook post here

The second dog that was taken in by a caring family was a small Yorkie that was seen walking around in Rocky Point. According to the post on Craigslist, "He was found on Lower Rocky Point Road, male, seems to have skin/infection issues, and was found wearing a diaper."

If you know anything about the Yorkie, again feel free to post in the comment section below or head over to Craigslist and email the family that is currently taking care of him.
