To Do: #82 - Tour the William Miller House (VIDEO)

Historical home dates back to 1720.

The , the oldest house still standing in Miller Place at 75 North Country Rd., dates back to 1720 when the original section was built.

A second house was transported to the site as an addition at the west end of the house in 1750 and another house was added to the east end in 1816. The house was purchased by the Miller Place-Mt. Sinai Historical Society in 1979 from the estate of Harry Millard, the last lineal descendant of William Miller.

The house was restored in the 1980s by the Society, and is currently open for tours during the Summer every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. until the Country Fair on Sept. 17-18. The site will also host the Fourth Annual Car Show on July 10 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
