While the area missed a potential heavy snowfall projected to hit Wednesday night into Thursday morning, snow did fall Thursday night and continued through Friday afternoon.
Local districts did announce morning delays, but school was in session. Buses were at the ready at Rocky Point High School in the afternoon, set to hit the roads as the snow continued. Main roads and even most residential roads, like Harrison Avenue seen in the above video, were clear as plows worked hard and the temperatures hovered around freezing.
