1. With recent discussion over how to spend capital reserve funds in Rocky Point schools, the Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. at Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School.
2. The Rotary Club of Rocky Point holds its last meeting of September Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Sea Basin Restaurant.
3. Learn how to extend your garden's life with some Fall Magic at the North Shore Public Library. Horticulturist Carolyn Zambraski takes a special look at plants for window boxes and containers for this season on Thursday at 7 p.m. Be sure to pre-register for all library events.
4. Kick off the new season with the Fall Into Fun Carvinal at Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai beginning Thursday at 6 p.m. and extending through the weekend with fireworks on Friday night.
5. Both the Rocky Point Varsity Soccer teams will be on display at home this week. The boys host Islip Monday at 4 p.m. and then Sayville comes to town on Thursday to take on the girls, also at 4 p.m.
