Join Us For Home-Made Lasagna

Take a break from cooking!

The Sound Beach Civic Association is hosting a lasagna dinner on Sept. 14, from 5 to 7 PM, at the Sound Beach Firehouse. Join us for home-made lasagna, meatballs, salad, and dessert and spend some time with your neighbors and friends.

Proceeds from this dinner are slated to go for the many community projects that the Civic undertakes--for example, maintaining the gardens at the Vets Memorial, our newsletter, and a new Welcome to Sound Beach sign.

The newsletter comes out quarterly and, in addition to keeping our community informed, it has become more and more a way to allow local businesses to advertise. Sound Beach does not have a Chamber of Commerce and our goal is to use this nesletter to bring more patrons to our businesses. Sound Beach is a vital community and we want to spread the word.

The Welcome to Sound Beach sign near the Handy Pantry has deteriorated and we recently applied for a grant to replace it. Given the current state of the economy we are not optimistic that this will come through, so this lasagna dinner may help pay for this.

So come to the dinner and, not only share a meal with us, but also help the Sound Beach community. Bring your neighbors and friends!

Tickets will be available at the next Civic meeting, Sept. 10, starting at 7:30 PM, at the Sound Beach Firehouse. Cost is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and FREE for children under 10.

We hope to see you there!
