SBCA Scholarship Fund Food Fair and Chinese Auction

Our scholarship fundraiser is only 20 days away. We ask the community to support this and join us in what should be a lovely day.

The Sound Beach Civic Association Scholarship Fund Food Fair and Auction is only 20 days away. It should be a lovely day and we urge everyone in the area to attend--This is what has allowed us to award two $1000 scholarships for the past three years.

Area businesses and individuals have again stepped up and donated a lot of great prizes:

  • Corelle 4-pc. dinnerware, service for 12
  • Three summer piano lessons
  • $50 Visa card
  • Lotto tree
  • Mary Kaye basket
  • Art pieces
  • Wine baskets
  • Sports memorabilia
  • And Lots More!

Again local restaurants will be donating over a dozen of their signature dishes:

  • Mussels
  • Steak tidbits
  • Antipasto platter
  • A variety of pasta dishes
  • MeatballsBaked clams
  • Sweet and Sour chicken
  • General Tsao's chicken

Desserts are a variety of home-made cookies (This year I'll be adding a new one--Viennese crescents. When this recipe was first published in The Times, one food critic said it was the best cookie recipe ever devised!)

And don't forget that music will be provided by high school students from both Miller Place and Rocky Point.

Tickets are $20 for adults ($25 at the door), blocks of 10 or more $18 each, children six to ten $5 each, children under six FREE. Tickets will be available at our meeting on May 14, 7:30 PM, at the Sound Beach Firehouse, second floor.  or you can contact us at Rubertob11789@aol.com or call 744-6952 and we can make arrangements to get them you.
