Event Spotlight: Rocky Point Cheerleaders Pack the Track

Cheerleaders want the community to help pack the track to raise breast cancer awareness.

On Oct. 17, the Rocky Point Cheerleaders help raise breast cancer awareness with their "Pack the Track" event at Rocky Point High School.

The annual breast cancer awareness walk begins at 3 p.m. on the track at the high school and anyone can join with a $5 donation. Proceeds from the walk will be donated to 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Coalition, the Hewlett House located right here on Long Island in Baldwin.

The founder and executive director Geri Barish and she will be attending the event as she has in the past two years.
