In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the 280 players in the Long island Sound Sharks youth football league will wear pink socks in every game in October to support this cause and help raise awareness to this life threatening disease.

"Breast cancer is touching too many lives, including two of our own Shark Football Moms, Jennifer Trypaluk and Barbara Bardak," a statement by the Sharks' Board read. "The LISS Board of Directors are proud to support this cause and proud of their youth football players for taking part locally in this national awareness month."
