PHOTOS: Another Busy Season at Carter Christmas Tree Farm

Miller Place U-Cut farm busy for Christmas season.

The Carter Christmas Tree Farm opened the Saturday before Thanksgiving and Ann Carter, who has been working at the farm for 27 years, said it's been a very busy season.

"It's become a family tradition," Carter said. "People return every year. They have a lot of fun doing it."

The farm has been in the Carter family since 1798 and opens every year on the weekends for the Christmas season. They also offer hot cider, wreaths and other decorations. If you forget the saw, don't worry, you can borrow one of theirs.

Once families find their tree, if they don't cut it down right away they decorate it where it stands so it's easy to find once it's time to cut it down and bring it home.

The farm is closed on weekdays but is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday until the final day, Dec. 18.
