Via https://www.facebook.com/MillerPlacePatch: Megan Thomas said, "Just finished ours a little while ago. My burrito was the size of an infant. I got more chips than a person could eat alone. The wait wasn't too bad for a first day opening in my opinion. Very similar to Chipolte but with more choice." Justin A. Slone added, "The staff was very friendly and accomodating. This is a great addition to our community and it deserves to do well! Welcome to Rocky Point, Moe's!" Shelley Forys Fuhrmann posted, "Yes my family and I did. We are so happy to have a Moe's close by!...Definitely going to be regulars there!"

Moe's Southwest Grill is a franchise concept. The franchisee is required to open a certain amount of units with in their territory. There are many franchise and independent Mexican/Southwest restaurants. Several have been having difficulty.

OK I just left the restaurant...there was a line I was fine with that but it was the people that were taking your order and preparing your food that do not know what the heck they are doing! I ordered the home wrecker...what a wreck it was...the servers didn't know what B stands for one person at the end of the line thought it was Bacon...then that guy tells.me.to go pay for my order...between me moving to.the register he lost my order and mixed up all the food...saying they all have bacon on.them I said that means beans...so I paid for my order and they were so unorganized I even said how.do u know that's my order..he said cause it was on end..lol I went to car and open up my meal and the home wrecker had nothing on it I ordered...I went back in and spoke to the person who I paid my order to her name is Nichole she new right away cause I told her when I paid the people on the line have no idea what they are doing. Well Nichole was very understanding and u can tell works well under pressure..has good customer service skills took my order again..wrote it all down...sent it down the line again....I told her thank you so much well when I got home can u believe they still got my order wrong...not Nicholes fault. Ughhh they even forgot the guacamole lol...I prob. Won't be going back there...waist if 12 dollar's! Thanks Nichole for trying..u deserve employee of the month 5/23/12 sat. 4pm service

It only opened Thursday and all the employees are new. Maybe you should give it a few months then try again before you write it off completely. By then all employees should be old hats at their job.

First impressions mean everything!

Its a franchise.... new is no reason to turn out the wrong order twice...then the manager or owner should be standing at the end of line doing damage control....so not only did my order get meat up the 4 other people didn't.get the right order ...people who were upset...and waisted 12 dollars..like I said Nichole should not have to do damage control...even with her instruction they got it wrong...so it has nothing to do with opening Thursday...how about the owner take all the employees and train them...run through the menu make sure each employee knows what they are doing....not say hey so a few customers..there money ohhhh well its to bad for them lol that's not how u run a business

Sounds to me like they opened too early. My son wanted to go there but I avoided the long opening lines and will go later in the week. Hope they have their act together by then!

This is horrible. This location is going to give the other moes a bad name. This location is not owned by the same person who owns the nassau locations and commack. It took 1 hour to go through 10 customers. When I finally got to the counter I was met by 2 high school kids just writing my order on the foil. When I said rice I saw that it was one big clump. The lady behind me who wanted a rice bowl and waited an hour in line for it, was so upset. She walked out. I was then told they were out of rice and that was all. They then told me there was no more rice salsa. Mind you, this was day 4 of them being open. It took 7 employees to make my 3 burritos. When I opened mine I couldn't eat it and immediately spoke to the manager. He told me he was out of rice and he was boiling white rice. I have written this review waiting for my replacement and still nothing. First impressions are everything and this place lost their chance and many customers.

I have celiac disease and this is one of the few restaurants around that is certified to be safe. Please, give it time before you start judging the entire place. First impressions of a chain establishment that just opened less than a week ago mean very little. I go to Moe's nearly 3-5 days a week and fully support their all natural, gluten free, antibiotic free cause. If you want quick service and smaller lines, go to Taco Bell and eat their 34% meat product.
