Event Spotlight: 63rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

Annual parade takes place on St. Patrick's Day this year.

A tradition unlike any other in the Miller Place-Rocky Point community, the 63rd version of the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is set to hit Route 25A on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, this year.

Suffolk Police shut down Route 25A starting at Harrison Avenue in Miller Place and ending at Broadway in Rocky Point starting at 12 p.m. The parade starts at 1 p.m. and will feature tons of floats from local businesses, live music, marches, dances and much more.

Parking will be prohibited on Route 25A from Miller Place Road in Miller Place to around 150 feet east of Broadway in Rocky Point. Suffolk Police will also be on hand, and are reminding spectators of the Brookhaven Town ordinance that prohibits possession of open containers of alcohol. Violation could result in a $250 fine or up to 15 days in jail.
