Former Burger King Lot [Empty in Miller Place-Rocky Point]

Town-owned property, formerly the long-gone fast food joint, remains vacant.

It's been a while now since the Rocky Point Burger King just west of Waldbaums on Route 25A closed down, and the building was demolished in 2009.

Brookhaven Town began the process of acquiring the property in 2004 from Rocky Point Realty, the owner of the building and .86-acre parcel. The town obtained title to the property in August of 2009.

There are no signs of the space being available for lease, and the overgrown lot is fenced in with "No Dumping" signs in front.
