Guitar Asylum Moves to Bohemia [Empty in Rocky Point]

Music store leaves troubled shopping center in Rocky Point.

About a year and a half after moving from its longtime location in the Miller Place Plaza to the Crossroads Plaza Westin Rocky Point, Guitar Asylum has moved once again, this time completely out of town to Bohemia.

Those who shopped or had lessons in the store can find them at 1610 Ninth Ave. in Bohemia, right off Vets Highway. The move creates another vacancy in the plaza where Route 25A and North Country Road meet. Most recently, Aid Auto Stores closed back in September.

Currently, the center is left with 7-Eleven, Carvel, Liberty Travel and Rocky Point Haircutters.

The troubled restaurant spot next to the former Guitar Asylum location is currently undergoing renovations to become BBD's - Beers, Burgers & Desserts. Patch will soon have more on the incoming restaurant.

For now, the plaza continues to have its issues. Why do you think there is so much turnover in the Crossroads West Plaza? Will a stable new restaurant revitalize the center? Share your throughts in the comments section below.
