Japanese Hibachi Proposed on Route 25A in Miller Place

Ginger Japan Inc. is seeking Brookhaven Town approval to convert four retail spaces in the Dunkin' Donuts plaza at 725 Route 25A in Miller Place to a 119-seat Japanese restaurant .

On the calendar for the upcoming planning board meeting on April 22, a special permit and variation are needed in order to use the space for the 4,996 square-foot restaurant. The property is owned by Aliano Real Estate and is zoned J2-business.

In order for the permit and variations to be approved, all revisions must be approved by the Town Engineer and the Planning Board. Construction activity can not begin until the building permit has been issued.

Ginger Japan owns Nishiki Sushi Hibachi located at 329 Independence Plaza in Selden.
