Maximum Music, a center for instruments, supplies and lessons at the corner of Route 25A and Myrtle Street in Mt. Sinai, is transitioning to new ownership.
Though management could not specifically comment on the change, a sign on the building reads "Now part of the Music & Arts family."
The new store hours are slightly different from the previous business hours: Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is closed on Sunday. The store phone number remains the same: 631-928-8400.
Music & Arts opened a Stony Brook location on Route 347 near Hallock Road just over a year ago.
