The drive runs from Monday, May 2 to Saturday, May 7. During that week, the watch battery is installed completely free in return for a can or box of food. Throughout the year, Netusil Jewelers accepts donations and in return, you can have a watch battery installed for just one dollar.

"It’s not that you come in and we give you that battery and say ‘have fun, do it yourself,’ we install it in the watch," Netusil said. "You’d be surprised, sometimes people think they come in and we’re just going to hand it to them and they ask how much it is to install, there is no gimmick to this."
