There has been a lot of construction under way recently in the area, with many new buildings and businesses arriving soon.

In Rocky Point, new construction has taken place on the side of Rocky Point-Yaphank Road in the . Property owner Cary Staller of Staller Associates said there are no new tenants lined up for the area just yet.

After the old Mobil at the corner of Route 347 and Crystal Brook Hollow Road was demolished in late December after construction recently began on a new Hess Express. A TD Bank is also on its way just west of Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai on the eastbound side of 25A.
