Zere Real Estate has won a settlement with AVR Realty over commission for the lease deal after a five-year dispute, according to a report on LIBN.com.
Zere’s senior managing director Paul Caiola said he introduced Planet Fitness to the 11,000-square-foot space ithat AVR Realty was representing. According to a Zere statement, Caiola was cut out of the negotiations. The amount of the settlement was no disclosed.
“It is outrageous that landlords, developers and their attorneys treat commercial real estate brokers like they do not matter,” Zere President and CEO Marie Zere said in the statement.
