School Closing Decision Making Is A Joke!!

I call to task all three of our local school districts regarding today's school closing decision making process. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Safety of our school children is priority number 1. It is quite apparent to all of us residents that school vacation days taken away is now influencing the decision process. You had no problem closing school the day before because of an ice threat a few weeks ago but were unable to read the radar forecast (from a gazillion sources) regarding today's storm. This was so obvious I really am beginning to wonder how "educated" many of you are.

At the last minute you called for a 2 hour delay!! REALLY! Then at the last minute closed school! REALLY!

Today's decision making process was not about the safety of our students first and foremost. It was about trying to preserve teacher time off!

I hate the snow and bad weather days but with the weather comes problems that the School Districts have to accommodate.

The "it's for the children" line is wearing thin today!

Glad you finally made the smart decision even if it was at the last minute!!
