Mind If I Run You Over?

There's nothing like a holiday to bring out the worst in people.   And Labor Day weekend seems to be prime time for bad driving etiquette---even if you're not really going anywhere.  I was on my way home (driving on 25A through the Rocky Point business district.)  A RAM 1500 pickup truck apparently thought my 45 mph in a 30 mph zone was too slow, and started tailgating me.  When the road changed to two lanes, I moved into the right lane, and we both found ourselves side by side at a red light.  Instinctively, I yelled "What is wrong with you . . you moron". Not exactly the words to intimidate the thug in the truck. Nevertheless it provoked him to yell back and to make his point clearer; he also made an ornithological gesture. When we both were able to move again, he quickly made a left turn off 25A, and I pulled into a store parking lot on the right to catch my breath, literally.  I'm not sure why Mr. RAM 1500 felt he needed to go double the speed limit.  Perhaps he had just taken or not taken his medication.  Perhaps he was late for a Bar-B-Q.  Perhaps he just wanted to kick ass or maybe, just maybe, he was bored and thought it would be fun to . . .
