5 Area Churches Holding Christmas Services

A guide to holiday services in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area.

Set aside time to attend a holiday service with this guide to service times in the area.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church: Dec. 23: Worship on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. All Sunday morning worship hours have been combined into one service for this Sunday, which begins at 10:00 a.m. Christmas Eve: Children's at 4 p.m., Candlelight services at 7:45 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m., and Christmas Day service at 10 a.m.

St. Anthonys of Padua has Christmas Eve mass at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. Christmas day services are at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and noon.

St. Louis de Montfort has Christmas Eve mass at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and midnight. Christmas mass at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and noon.

Sound Beach Community Church has Christmas Eve services at 7 p.m. and Christmas service at 10 a.m.

Mt. Sinai Congregational Church has advent services Dec. 23 at 9 and 11 a.m. On Christmas Eve, they will hold a family service at 5 p.m. and candlelight services at 9 and 11 p.m.

Spoken like a true teacher. Did you know that the average school teacher is only paying 15% of theRead More actual cost of health care premiums for themselves and their families, when Medical healthcare insurance premiums are rising at an alarming 17% per annum? Do you realize that teachers are paid an additional stipend if they work more than 3 consecutive periods in a day? Are you aware that teacher pensions were protected during the stock market crash of 2008, when the average person's 401K was totally at risk? Perhaps if teachers realized how good they have it - look at the BIG picture and outside of their bubble - then they would complain less. Oh and yes, we need our loftily-paid Administrators to kick in some of the salaries, to help pay for stuff. Hard to believe the school districts' mantras that "it's all for the kids".
