Candidates Debate in Sound Beach and more this week.

1. The Sound Beach Civic Association will host an all-candidates debate Monday at 7:30 p.m. with Congressional candidates Tim Bishop and Randy Altschuler, State Senate candidates Ken Lavalle and Bridget Fleming and Brookhaven Town supervisor candidates Brian Beedenbender and Ed Romaine.

2. The Rotary Club of Rocky Point meets Tuesday at the Sea Basin Restaurant at 12:30 p.m.

3. Looking to help out local food pantries? in Rocky Point and even get a watch battery changed in exchange for just $2.

4. Head to the North Shore Public Library Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and join artist Laura Ricca for printmaking basics. Design a Fall scene incorporating tissue paper and leaf prints. Call ahead to register.

5. The North Shore Youth Council offers programs for local youth daily at their headquarters in Rocky Point. NSYC child care programs offer a safe place for their elementary school children before school starts and after school ends. Visit www.nsyc.com for registration information.
