Jan. 29: Talent Tryouts, Mudge and Driving Class

Here's what's happening Saturday in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area.

Tryouts for Comsewogue Public Library's talent show Comsewogue's Got Talent take place today at 3 p.m. And young kids can practice reading this morning with the North Shore Public Library's Read to Mudge program. It's all happening today in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area.

1. comeptition are today at 3 p.m. The competition is for kids in grades one through five. The talent show will be held at the library Feb. 13.

2. Kids can practice reading at the North Shore Public Library with at 10:30 a.m. Children read aloud to service dog Mudge to give them practice and confidence to read in front of teachers, parents and peers.

3. The North Shore Library is also hosting a class for high schoolers at 10 a.m. The class is 5 hours and costs $40. Payment must be brought to the class.
