LIPA: Just Under 1,500 Remain Without Power in Area
With some additional outages after nor'easter, some still in the dark.
While many were expecting to get power by Wednesday the latest because of LIPA estimations, the nor'easter that brought snow and heavy winds to the area slowed repairs and even caused additional damages in some areas.
On Monday, LIPA was reporting on its website that 2,866 total were without power in Miller Place, Sound Beach, Rocky Point and Mt. Sinai. The number has now dropped to 1,412 Thursday, with Miller Place reportedly suffering from the most outages with 532. Patch will continue to update these numbers as they come in.
