More Than $5K Raised at Annual Turkey Trot

Annual fun run held at Mount Sinai High School.

More than 440 students, parents, staff and community members took place in the Second Annual Mount Sinai Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run held at Mount Sinai High School Nov. 24.

Coordinated by the high school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Club and the Class of 2013, the event raised more than $5,000 which will be donated to Holiday Magic.

"It is truly heartwarming to see the dedication and generosity of the students," said Legis. Sarah Anker. "It is thanks to their philanthropic efforts that families in need will receive help during the holiday season."
