Residents woke Tuesday morning, many with no power, to see fallen trees and downed wires, damaged property and severe flooding down by Cedar Beach.
Miller Place First Assistant Chief Kyle Markott reported that the department fielded around 35-40 calls since 2 p.m. Monday, mostly for fallen trees and wires but "nothing too crazy."
