PHOTOS: Memorial Along William Floyd Remembers Teens
Flowers and other items are laid on the side of William Floyd Parkway where two teens died in Saturday's crash.
There is visible damage on the tree where the car carrying five teens struck early Saturday, killing Rocky Point High School student Ryan Baumgartner and Ridge teen Jacqueline Salvador, and the tree is now covered in writing from family and friends as a memorial to the two students.
Along with the messages on the tree, numerous floral arrangements, stuffed animals, letters, candles and other items such as a Duke basketball have been left by the site on the northbound side of the William Floyd Parkway in Ridge.
