My sister, Joan Gratzer and family live at 160 Broadway in Rocky Point, 11778, and I am wondering if that street has been evacuated and if they are ok. Thank you for any help you can give. Rosetta Willms rosettawillms@ventura.org rosetta.willms@gmail.com

There was no flooding from Long Island Sound during the hurricane. Thankfully, because of the bluff being about 20-30 high. There was a lot of beach erosion, but I don't believe anyone from RP was evacuated. Lots of trees down- many without power. But, I think most residents from RP are OK- especially in relation to the south shore towns of Long Beach, Lindenhurst, Mastic, etc.
